The MERL Officer is a key role in achieving the organisation’s
objectives regarding monitoring, evaluation, research, learning,
capacity development and the measurement of results. Within Misean
Cara, the Learning & Development Team promotes learning,
accountability and capacity development through an annual programme of
monitoring, evaluation and research based on the hundreds of projects
implemented by member organisations each year. The successful
candidate will have demonstrated skills and experience in all aspects
of project cycle management, in particular monitoring and evaluation,
and will be adept at identifying and articulating learning to be
shared with Misean Cara’s members and the wider development
community. The Learning & Development Team consists of a manager, four
officers based in Ireland and four development mentors based in the
Global South (in Peru, Ghana, Zambia and Kenya).
